Dunthorpe New Home

This home, designed by Jeffery L. Miller Architects, is one of the finest we have done. The many dormers, sweeping roofline, and fine detail of cornice work give this home a true old-world feel that most new homes built today only hint at. The concrete stucco system features hidden expansion joints and a finish that looks quite old, while maintaining the highest levels of water resistance, The wood windows are set in the wall and the shutters are fully functional. Inside and out, the true mortise and tenon timber trusses and distressed beam work were all built and distressed using hand tools for a truly authentic feel. The cabinetry was all hand built by a single craftsman, and features full inset doors and pin hinges. Interior design was done by Marcie Krauss. The project included a pool and pool house, with landscape design by KLA Landscape Architects.
